Start at CareCredit’s official login page . Select the consumer cardholder option, which routes account access through Synchrony. New cardholders can register there, and existing users can use the official username or password recovery links. Do not enter account credentials on a page reached through an unsolicited message, advertisement or independent guide.
Choose the correct account path
- Cardholder account: statements, payments and card management
- CareCredit provider portal: enrolled healthcare businesses
- CareCredit Pay Later: a separate installment-loan account
Use the official CareCredit login entry page
The public CareCredit login page separates consumer and provider access. Cardholders should choose the consumer login. That link may open a Synchrony-hosted account page because Synchrony Bank issues and services the CareCredit credit card.
A change from a CareCredit page to an official Synchrony page is therefore expected. What matters is that you begin from a verified CareCredit or Synchrony page rather than trusting the first search result. Bookmark the official entry page after confirming it.
This independent site does not provide a login form, process payments or ask for usernames, passwords, account numbers or one-time codes.
Do not confuse cardholder and provider access
The provider login is for enrolled practices and businesses that accept CareCredit. It is not the place for a cardholder to view a statement or make an account payment. A patient or customer should use the consumer cardholder path even if the account was opened at a provider’s office.
CareCredit Pay Later is also separate from the reusable CareCredit credit card. If your financing is a Pay Later installment loan, use the account access identified in that loan’s documents or Synchrony’s account directory. Do not assume the credit-card login will display a separate loan.
Register an approved account for online access
Approval for a CareCredit account and registration for online access are different steps. If you have never logged in, choose the registration option from the official cardholder page or select “I’ve never logged in before” in the CareCredit mobile app.
CareCredit says registration may ask for the full account number, the last four digits of the primary cardholder’s Social Security number and date of birth. Complete that process only on the verified account page and on a private device. After verification, create a unique username and password that you do not reuse on other sites.
An authorized user may not have the same registration authority as the primary cardholder. Follow the prompts for the account and contact official customer support if the information does not match.
Recover a username or password from the login screen
Use the “Forgot username” or “Forgot password” link shown on the official account login screen. Do not search separately for a password-reset page or follow a reset link from an unexpected email or text.
You may be asked to verify your identity. Never give a one-time code to someone who calls or messages you. If a recovery request fails, return to CareCredit’s official contact page and use the cardholder support information shown there. Do not send account details through an unsecured contact form, ordinary email or social-media message.
Check a login page before entering credentials
- Begin at carecredit.com or Synchrony’s official account directory.
- Confirm that the connection is encrypted and the browser shows no security warning.
- Be cautious of misspelled domains, extra words and pages that imitate the CareCredit logo.
- Do not install remote-access software at the request of an alleged support agent.
- Do not pay a fee to unlock, verify or register an account.
A padlock alone does not prove that a website belongs to CareCredit. Starting from the known official entry page is safer than judging a link by its appearance.
What the cardholder account is used for
CareCredit says online and mobile account access can display balances, recent transactions, available credit, statements, promotional purchase details, payment information and account messages. The mobile app can also provide access to the digital card and participating-provider tools.
Viewing a balance is not the same as paying a healthcare provider. An account payment reduces what you owe Synchrony; a provider payment uses CareCredit to pay a participating healthcare business. See how to pay your CareCredit bill safely for that distinction.
If you still cannot access the account
First confirm that you selected the consumer cardholder login and entered the primary cardholder information expected by the registration or recovery process. If the account is new, verify that you are registering rather than trying to sign in with credentials that have not been created.
If access remains unavailable, use the cardholder number published on CareCredit’s current contact page. Have the information needed to identify the account, but do not disclose a password or one-time verification code. For a missing payment, possible fraud or another time-sensitive account issue, contact the issuer rather than waiting for online access to resolve itself.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the CareCredit login open a Synchrony page?
Synchrony Bank issues and services the CareCredit credit card. Starting at CareCredit’s official login page and being routed to an official Synchrony account page is expected.
Is the provider login the same as the cardholder login?
No. Provider access is for enrolled healthcare businesses. Consumers use the cardholder login to manage their credit-card accounts.
Can a new cardholder sign in immediately?
An approved account may first need to be registered for online access. Use the registration option on the official account page or the first-time-login option in the official app.
Can I make a payment without registering?
CareCredit currently identifies a Pay as Guest option for account payments. Start from its existing-cardholder page and verify the official destination before entering payment information.
