Search the official CareCredit Provider Locator by ZIP code, category or provider name, then contact the exact location before the visit. Confirm that it accepts your CareCredit product for the intended service, whether payment is in person or online and which promotional financing options are available. A provider appearing in the network does not guarantee that every service, location or transaction receives the same terms.
Confirm all three
- The exact provider or retail location
- The intended service, product and payment channel
- The financing offer available for that transaction
Start with the official CareCredit Provider Locator
CareCredit’s locator supports searches by city or ZIP code and by doctor or business name. It also provides filters for types of care, distance and participating partners. Current categories include dental, vision, veterinary, hearing, hospitals, specialists, pharmacies, medical equipment, surgery centers and other health and wellness services.
Use the official locator rather than relying only on an old directory, a provider’s undated logo, a search-result snippet or a social-media post. Network participation and location details can change.
Match the exact location
A practice name may represent several offices, doctors or billing entities. Compare the locator result with the address and phone number for the location you intend to visit. Do not assume that another branch has the same acceptance or financing setup.
When scheduling, ask the office:
- Does this exact location currently accept the CareCredit credit card?
- Can it be used for the service or product I plan to purchase?
- Will the transaction be processed by this office or another billing entity?
- Do I need the physical card, or can I use the digital card?
Write down the location and person who confirmed acceptance when the purchase is substantial or scheduled for a later date.
Card acceptance does not guarantee a promotion
A provider can accept CareCredit without offering every promotional financing option. CareCredit says providers can select which special financing offers are available at their practices. The purchase amount and transaction type can also affect eligibility.
Before authorizing the charge, ask:
- Which promotion is being offered for this purchase?
- Is it deferred interest or reduced APR?
- What purchase amount, term and APR appear in writing?
- What happens if the balance remains at the end?
Review the written transaction disclosure. Do not treat a provider’s network listing as evidence that the purchase will be interest free.
Confirm online and in-person payment separately
CareCredit’s network includes providers that accept the card in person, but not every provider accepts online payment. The official mobile app also notes that some locations require a physical card and that the digital card has acceptance limitations at retail locations.
If you want to pay an existing invoice online, confirm that the provider appears in the official Pay My Provider flow. An ordinary locator result does not by itself establish that online payment is enabled. See how to pay a provider with CareCredit for that workflow.
Check retailer-specific purchase rules
CareCredit identifies participating retail partners, including certain pharmacy and personal-care retailers. Acceptance at a retailer does not mean every product, checkout channel or promotional offer is eligible.
Check the current retailer policy for:
- Eligible and excluded items
- In-store versus website or app purchases
- Whether promotional financing is offered
- Return and refund handling
These rules belong to the retailer and can differ from a healthcare provider’s process.
Know which CareCredit product you have
The standard CareCredit credit card is intended for eligible purchases within the CareCredit network. The CareCredit Rewards Mastercard can also be used wherever Mastercard is accepted, subject to its terms. CareCredit Pay Later is a separate, single-use installment loan available only through participating providers.
Do not use acceptance information for one product to assume that another product or promotion is available. Check the card, offer or loan agreement and ask the location which option it supports.
If the provider is not listed
Contact the provider and ask whether it currently participates under another business or billing name. Do not send card or account information merely to verify participation.
If the office says it accepts CareCredit but does not appear in the locator, ask for its current official CareCredit payment or application process. Verify any link before entering personal or financial information. An independent guide cannot confirm enrollment or process a transaction.
Frequently asked questions
Does every location in a medical group accept CareCredit?
Do not assume so. Search and confirm the exact office address where the purchase will occur.
If a provider accepts CareCredit, will I get promotional financing?
Not automatically. Providers may offer different promotions, and eligibility can depend on the purchase and amount. Review the written offer before authorizing the charge.
Can I pay every participating provider online?
No. CareCredit states that not all providers accept online payment. Check the Pay My Provider search or ask the provider about its current payment channel.
Can the CareCredit credit card be used anywhere?
The standard CareCredit credit card is used within its participating network. The CareCredit Rewards Mastercard has broader Mastercard acceptance, subject to its own terms.
