How to use the tracker

  1. Add an entry when you contact the provider or receive a refund update.
  2. Add a separate entry when the provider says the refund was submitted. Record the submission date rather than replacing the earlier promise.
  3. Check the official CareCredit account and statements. Add another entry when a matching credit appears or when you contact the issuer.
  4. Export the CSV before clearing browser data, changing devices or removing the records.

The timeline is most useful when each row describes one event. If a refund is partial or the amount changes, add a new dated entry instead of changing the meaning of an older one.

What to record—and what to leave out

Useful notes include the provider name, whether a refund was promised or submitted, a short confirmation reference and the statement month you checked. Keep original receipts, emails and refund confirmations in your own secure records; this browser tool is not document storage.

Do not enter a full card number, account number, login credential, bank detail, Social Security number or detailed medical information. A short note such as “provider confirmed submission” is enough to make the timeline understandable.

Keep the three refund stages separate

Refund promised means the provider agreed to return money. Refund submitted means the provider says it sent the credit through its payment process. Credit appeared means you found a matching credit in the official card account or statement.

Those events may occur on different dates. Recording them separately helps identify whether you are waiting for the provider to act, waiting for account processing or trying to understand how an existing credit affected the account.

Use the timeline with official records

Compare the entries with the original provider receipt, written refund confirmation, recent account activity and the next statement. A note in this tracker does not prove that a refund was transmitted or credited, and an amount shown here does not change a promotional balance.

If the provider says it submitted the refund but no matching credit appears, use the detailed guide on what to do when a CareCredit provider refund has not appeared.

Export a copy you can keep

Entries are stored in this browser profile on this device. They are not synchronized with another computer or phone and may be lost if local browser data is cleared. Use Export CSV to save a portable copy that can be opened in a spreadsheet.

Clear records removes the locally stored timeline from this browser. Export first if you may need the dates and notes later.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tracker connect to my CareCredit account?

No. It cannot read transactions, statements, promotional balances or account messages. It records only the information you enter.

Can the tracker tell me when a refund will appear?

No. It creates a timeline but does not estimate or guarantee processing time. Use the provider’s submission confirmation and the official card account to determine the current status.

Can I track a partial refund?

Yes. Enter the amount associated with that event and note that it is partial. If another amount is submitted later, add a separate row so the sequence remains clear.

Why did my entries disappear on another device?

The records stay in the browser profile where they were entered. They do not automatically move between devices or browsers. Exporting a CSV creates a copy you can retain elsewhere.

Does a recorded refund change what I need to pay?

No. This tool does not alter the account or calculate required payments. Follow the current CareCredit statement and account instructions until an actual credit is reflected.
