The short answer

On a CareCredit billing statement, look for the promotional expiration notice and the special or promotional purchase summary. These areas identify the expiration date and remaining balance for each promotional purchase. CareCredit also says the official online account and mobile app display promotional purchases, balances and expiration dates.

Record these details together

  1. The description or date of the promotional purchase.
  2. Its current promotional balance.
  3. Its promotional expiration date.

Start with the latest billing statement

Use the newest completed billing statement rather than relying only on the original receipt or an older statement. The latest statement reflects payments, purchases, credits and adjustments recorded through that billing cycle.

CareCredit’s statement guidance identifies two important areas:

  • Promotional expiration notice: shows deferred-interest promotion expiration dates and warns that applicable balances must be paid in full before those dates.
  • Promotional purchase summary: lists promotional purchases with their balances, expiration dates and deferred or billed interest information.

The names and layout can change, so focus on the labels and figures rather than expecting every statement to look exactly like an online example.

Match each balance with its own expiration date

Do not write down one date and the total account balance. A CareCredit account can contain more than one promotional purchase, and each one may have a different balance and deadline.

Create one line for each promotion:

  • Purchase description or transaction date
  • Current promotional balance
  • Promotional expiration date
  • Deferred interest shown, if listed

When several promotions appear, match the figures horizontally within the same statement row or section. Do not assume the nearest date belongs to the largest balance.

Do not confuse the payment due date with the promotion end date

The payment due date is the monthly deadline for making at least the required account payment. The promotional expiration date belongs to a specific financing offer. They can be different dates and serve different purposes.

The statement closing date is different again: it marks the end of the billing cycle represented by that statement. It is not automatically the date by which a promotional balance must reach zero.

Copy the dates exactly as displayed. Avoid converting “six months” from memory into your own estimated deadline when the official statement already provides an expiration date.

Check the official online account or mobile app

CareCredit states that its online account and mobile app can show promotional purchases, including their balances and expiration dates. The app also provides access to eStatements, recent activity and account alerts.

Use only an official CareCredit or Synchrony account destination. Do not enter card details or login credentials into a third-party calculator or informational website.

If you are planning a payment close to expiration, save the current figures for your records and check again after the payment is credited. A screenshot can document what was displayed, but it does not replace the issuer’s account record.

Use the receipt for the offer, not the current balance

The transaction receipt or promotional disclosure can help confirm which financing offer was accepted and the original purchase amount. It normally does not tell you the current remaining balance after later payments or credits.

Use the latest statement, online account or app for the current promotional balance. Keep the original receipt alongside those records in case the type or duration of the promotion needs to be verified.

What to do if the figures do not appear to match

Differences can result from timing. An online balance may include activity after the latest statement closed, while a mailed or downloaded statement is a snapshot of an earlier billing cycle.

Before contacting the issuer:

  1. Confirm that you are comparing the same promotional purchase.
  2. Note the statement closing date and the date you checked the online account.
  3. Review payments, returns and credits posted between those dates.
  4. Save the receipt, relevant statements and payment confirmations.

If the balance or deadline remains unclear, use the phone number on the back of the card or an official account channel. Ask the issuer to confirm the promotional purchase, current balance and expiration date. A third-party site cannot verify account-specific figures.

Turn the figures into a payoff check

Once you have matched every balance with its expiration date, sort the promotions by the earliest deadline. Compare the current balance with the payment opportunities remaining before that date.

The result is a planning aid, not a replacement for the statement minimum. The guide explaining why minimum payments may not pay off a promotion covers that separate calculation.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the CareCredit promotional expiration date?

Look for the promotional expiration notice and promotional purchase summary on the billing statement. CareCredit also says the date is available through the official online account and mobile app.

Is the promotional balance the same as my total balance?

Not necessarily. The total account balance can include several promotional purchases, non-promotional purchases, fees or interest. Use the balance listed for the specific promotional purchase.

Can I calculate the end date from the purchase date?

Do not rely on your own calculation when an official expiration date is available. Use the date shown on the current statement or official account and contact the issuer if it is unclear.

Why does my online balance differ from my statement?

The statement reflects activity through its closing date, while the online account may include later transactions. Compare the dates and recent activity before treating the difference as an error.
